Decorative Table Lamps

Decorative table lamps add soft, focused light to a living room, bedroom or side table while also working as a styling piece. This range is built around the way you plan to use the lamp, so you can match it to the space rather than just the look.

How to choose a lamp

Start with the surface. A small lamp suits a bedside table or narrow shelf, while a larger base and wider shade give a sideboard or console more presence. Check the height against the furniture next to it so the light falls where you need it.

Then think about style. A glass base reflects light and feels airy, while a fabric shade diffuses it for a warmer glow. Pick a shape and finish that echo the materials already in the room, such as wood, metal or textiles.

Finally, consider how the lamp is powered. If there is no socket nearby, or you want to move a lamp between rooms, a battery-powered model removes the cable problem. You can browse these in our cordless lamps selection.

Use one lamp as an accent, or place a matching pair on either side of a sofa or bed for a balanced look. Layering table lamps with ceiling or floor lighting gives a room more flexibility through the evening.

How do I know if the size is right for my room?

Every product page lists the real dimensions in centimetres, with a reference point to help you picture them. Our tip: cut a piece of cardboard to the diameter of the light and hold it up to the ceiling. Above a table, allow 70 to 80 cm (27.6 to 31.5 in) between the bottom of the light and the tabletop.

What if the light doesn’t match the photo?

We describe every design exactly as it is: dimensions, materials (including when there is plastic), and whether the bulb is included. If the product you receive doesn’t match its description, it counts as not as described: we replace it or refund you, and we cover the return postage.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. At checkout, choose the pay in instalments option offered: your order total is then split into several payments, subject to approval by the payment provider.

How long does delivery take?

Your order is prepared within 1 to 3 working days, then delivered in 7 to 12 working days by tracked delivery. Delivery is free, with no minimum spend.

Is it difficult to install?

It depends on the design. Table lamps and floor lamps simply plug into a socket. Pendant lights, chandeliers, ceiling lights and wall lights connect to the wires in your ceiling or wall, or to a plug-in ceiling connector, once the power is switched off at the fuse box.

Our installation guide takes you through every step; if you prefer, ask an electrician to fit it — the technical specifications give them everything they need.

Are bulbs included?

It’s stated in the technical specifications of every product (“Bulb: included” or “not included”), along with the bulb base. When bulbs aren’t supplied, the base is usually a standard one (E27 or E14) that you’ll find in any DIY shop.

Can I return a product?

Yes. Damaged, faulty or not as described: return at our expense, with a replacement or refund. If you simply change your mind, you have 14 days from delivery to send it back, unused and in its original packaging; in that case, return postage is at your expense.
